Pipe Smoking Six Months On

I had a similar experience with Haunted Bookshop but now it's a blend I really appreciate. Many that you dislike at first will reveal themselves better as your experience broadens and technique improves.

I’m definitely going to hang on to it and keep trying it

Don't give up on the Haunted Bookshop (or other burley blends). When I first tried them, they tasted like acrid "smoke" (think old cigarette). After 6 months of smoking other VA blends, etc. I came back and was able to enjoy the burleys. Now they are in my permanent rotation.

I think my biggest issue was smoking them too fast. Try them again after a while and go slow.

Totally agree. Haunted bookshop is probably in my top 10. I tried Burley in the beginning but thought "meh". Now, I absolutely love Burleys.

Same here, settling in on burleys as the standard, with a few Englishs and an occasional aro as well.

If you haven't tried OJK it's worth a look, I found it as a smoother version of HB.

I’m a huge fan of his son’s music too, so it’s kind of cool when interests and hobbies overlap.
