Greetings from Canada, I'm new here too and I used to play guitar and bass but last winter I broke my finger saving a pop up ice fishing shelter from a wind gust and got my index finger on my fret hand caught in it and it still hasn't healed yet and playing guitar with a messed up index finger isn't worth the trouble.

Cheers

Howdy all from the great white North! Wisco resident here.

I've been smoking pipes for something over a dozen years now, been through a few different phases but for the last year or so I've been smoking the Missouri Meerschaum natural corncob that came free on the bottle of Missouri Moonshine corn whiskey. I think it's an Eaton. I like it because it's cheap, durable and lightweight but the bowl is a little small for my preference.

I don't really collect pipes but I have picked up a NoFalt and also a 50's space-age aluminum job (I think it's called a Torpedo) at rummage sales over the years. I haven't smoked either of them, just bought 'em because they were cool I guess.

I play keyboards in a regional cover band and if the show is outdoors I usually light up on stage. This seems to have made a favorable impression with the audience as I get more compliments on my pipe than on my performance! I haven't decided whether this is a tribute to my phenomenal piping skills or a testament to the mediocrity of my keyboard playing.

I've joined this forum in order to discover new types of tobacco to sample, to see pictures of interesting and unique pipes, to gather knowledge on Meerschaum pipes in particular as I have yet to try that material and, finally, to banter with the community and have a good time. Looking forward to it all!

Welcome to the party! I use MM Legends as my day-to-day work pipe. Cobs are king!
