Paul Kruger is still venerated by Afrikaners in South Africa. He is a rather divisive historical figure. I tend to regard him as a shit although Kruger National Park is a remarkable place in spite of the name.

Speaking of shapes. I acquired an estate meer made by Andreas Bauer for the Pfeifen Huber shop in Munich. I like the shape but don't know what to call it. Would you call this a cutty? A Dublin? What the heck is this shape?

I have this little pipe. No markings whatsoever, but I love its shape. I don't think it fits into any particular shape category.

This thread goes back to the month and year I joined Forums, February 2013. Damn, I think I even remember it in some distant way.

Ok. Here’s one that I bought about 10-15 years ago that I have never figured out what shape to call it: If anyone can know it, it will be a brother or sister on this blog! It is a Dunhill, Bruyere, 41781. Seems like a hybrid between a pot and Dublin shape, but the fluted stem and oval stummel throws it off. Does anyone have any knowledge of this Dunhill shape category? Thx.image.jpgimage.jpg
