As for subtle differences in shapes, I suspect, my subjective opinion only, that the Peterson System Hungarian shape (Pub Pipe) is the ultimate development of Charles Peterson's original idea for a long lasting cool dry smoke. That being said, I now have a House pipe to begin comparison tests so my opinion might change,

:ROFLMAO: I haven't switched yet ! Just admiring the view so far ! I study as much as possible first before making broad categorizations, assuming facts, rushing to judgment and jumping to conclusions based on limited scientific data. :ROFLMAO: I just want test a hypothesis to see how a house pipe compares to a Pub pipe where both chambers are similar in size but pipes are different shapes. At the end of the day it is what it is ! ;)

Ok folks, I need some help on this one....

This Charatan Executive has a long, oval shank with a saddle stem and at first pass should qualify as a Lumberman..... BUT it doesn't have the Lumberman bowl but rather an apple bowl.
What would you call it?? (I know someone will say "LumberApple"). :col:

I have one that I eventually just called a "blowfish cauldron," and yes, it looks as odd as that sounds.comica1756869408667.png
Haven't really found a one size fits all shape that covers it. Fancy or Freehand is kind of a boring cop out to use on something this spectacularly... something, alright.
