Not to split hairs, but Bulldogs have diamond shanks. Panels often have square. #orientationmatters

You are right to point out my imprecise language. A square shank is always square to the bowl.

It just depends who you ask really. Some say that a bulldog is a rhodesian and a rhodesian is a bulldog. Even if the shank were round, it's out of proportion with the bowl to be a billiard and the stem is too long to be a lovat.

I'm curious where you get the stem proportions from?

"In order for a pipe to be considered a Canadian, the length of the shank must be at least one and a half times the height of the bowl, but cannot exceed double the length."

With the OP stating that #10 has an oval shank, I would say he has it correct that it fits the description of a lumberman with its saddle stem, regardless of the stems length.

Then again if the stem was 9 inch's it would be a churchwarden, LOL
