Pipe Repair Project.

I bought this Peterons 2019 St Patty's day pipe awhile ago. The rim was pretty charred and the laquer was flaking off. I finally got around to fixing it today. While not perfect, as it is very charred, it looks much better.

I'd give the chamber a good sanding then mix up some organic sour cream and lots of activated charcoal and give it a good coating, let that dry for a few days then smoke some burley in er for the first 10 bowls. She will be fine and come back to life.

When dry it has zero flavour or smell and makes a great coating for bowls that have been refurbished and might be spider webbed, granted you mix enough activated charcoal in it to get to a thick black paste for application.

It works good I go heavy enough on the charcoal so it's a thick paste but not too heavy that it won't stick. Works great doesn't require buying a whole bunch of things to mix by exact measurements.

I've used both sour cream and activated charcoal as well as a few drips of water mixed with cigar ash. I prefer the latter because I get to smoke a cigar and the amount of ash from 1 Churchill will last forever. I also smoke a Davidoff when planning to use the ash because they just seem to burn cleaner with whiter ash.

My to for is Sasquatch's recipe ; ac with a drop of demin. water and a little icing sugar. Dries fast and rock hard.
Works like a charm.
