I likes em' funky n' chunky.

When I first started buying artisans, I leaned to the very meticulously carved smooths. Blowfish and whatever warmed-over Danish from all the 4.7 wave carvers. Most came in around 1"-1.4" tops in chamber depth. I can only speak for myself.... but like in a lot of hobbies/vices first I bought what matched my imagination, then I learned to buy what matched my reality. While I can keep a pipe lit, cool, and rocking....I'm no slow smoke champion. I also really valued my "cigar-like" smoke windows of 40-90 minutes.....I don't get a ton of 'idle' time so being able to sit back with headphones, some water and bergs' as the man says, and have a loaded chamber ready to roll for that stretch became what fit me. Blast em' big and bring them on....nowadays it takes a real personal eye-catcher for me to grab anything less than 1.6"-2" inches in the chamber.
Same with me - there's form then there's function - I like 'em that way as well the pipes and the 'cigar time windows'- guess it's us Jersey guys - I'm on the shore by Long Branch - granted I still own some smaller bowled pipes just to take a quick break here and there

You've hit the ground running! Good haul!

You can put your location in your Profile—(please!—because people will forget!) That will save questions in the future as to where you live when you later mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc., etc..
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. Just country if you must.

Been eyeing one of those. Where did you pick it up from? And if i may risk being indelicate, how much did it set you back?

Sooo... funny story(not really) about how I got the tray. A guy on Facebook said he has a co-worker with a sick child. He was offering the tray for free with a $53.00 donation, 100% going to the coworker minus shipping. I can see if he has anymore.

Definitely for a good cause, but to ritch for my blood at the moment. I spent waaaaay to much in the past 2 months on tobacco and pipes.
