Those are some work-horse mammouths
I likes em' funky n' chunky.
When I first started buying artisans, I leaned to the very meticulously carved smooths. Blowfish and whatever warmed-over Danish from all the 4.7 wave carvers. Most came in around 1"-1.4" tops in chamber depth. I can only speak for myself.... but like in a lot of hobbies/vices first I bought what matched my imagination, then I learned to buy what matched my reality. While I can keep a pipe lit, cool, and rocking....I'm no slow smoke champion. I also really valued my "cigar-like" smoke windows of 40-90 minutes.....I don't get a ton of 'idle' time so being able to sit back with headphones, some water and bergs' as the man says, and have a loaded chamber ready to roll for that stretch became what fit me. Blast em' big and bring them on....nowadays it takes a real personal eye-catcher for me to grab anything less than 1.6"-2" inches in the chamber.
