Political beliefs are serious and political discussions are not meant civil. Depending on the definition used, politics, in the most general sense, are about bar fights, fist fights in congress, screaming and shouting, duels and wars, slurs, blasphemy, all of the baser instincts man posses. I believe history will support my observation.
Politics can be discussed civilly only among friends where dissent is not taken personally and the discussion is all in good, clean fun with no intent to change another's belief.
