I occasionally use polish after I've done a thorough cleaning and restoration. For this purpose I use either HalcyonIII or Paragon. For these to work you need to use the tiniest amount that will cover. A thick coating will not set up properly and may feel gummy. But, that tiny thin amount, buffed against the fingers and palms of my hands, will yield a brilliant shine that I don't get using any cloth. The action of the dried polish rubbing against itself produces the glass-like shine.
With the Brebbia product, it might work better using the same technique. Apply the barest minimum then rub against the palms of your hands while the polish sets up. Finishing with a cloth to scrape off any dried build up along the button shouldn't hurt the shine.
