Pipe Made from Cedar Wood?

I have a pipe made by Skip Elliott out of Osage Orange. Smokes a bit hot but it's a good looking pipe and very well made.

Wow, that is getting a nice patina of color on it.

Orange Osage can be found usually along fence lines in pastures in the South, sometimes called hedge, hedge apples, bowwood, or (as Bladesmith pointed out) horse apples.

There’s a table on wood describing properties , that Osage pipe is pretty. I have a Mullberry pipe made by a stellar member of this forum E James.He was murdered by his Grandson, great loss!
