I like the pipe part of that, but the thought of snow coming soon is depressing. I haven't even raked my leaves yet.
We've had the best fall weather here too. So mild and pleasant for Ottawa.

It would be more than a little bit shocking if it were to snow here (although it HAS happened on rare occasion) but still, it does rain and get uncomfortably cold during winter months ... glad you're able to enjoy your pipe in the first flakes of the season, but it just wouldn't work for me ... and, since smoking in the house doesn't work either, I put up a little building in the back that I have tricked up as a sort of combination home office / man cave ... I've got room for a desk, my cigar humidors, my pipes and tobaccos as well as a couple of chairs and a small TV ...
In Wisconsin, you really do need to do something similar ...

I love the snow, I love to puff a pipe in the snow, I usually forget a cob outside in the snow while cooling down before cleaning. I don't bring a just smoked pipe in the house and sometimes pay the price in the winter.

The mountains have been getting fresh dustings of snow for the past couple of weeks now. But fortunately it is not hitting the lower altitudes! It has actually been a very mild fall. Brisk evenings, rarely dropping below freezing.

@05adventurer - Is that a noose in the picture that your wife is dangling over you?
