Pipe in Sherlock The Abominable Bride

So they think its a Peterson, but in looking closly in that shot and zooming in it clearly says "Made in Italy". You can also notice the metal embellishment is a single line not a double.

I believe that's a Sav 642. Certainly something in the 640 series.

Two things wrong:
It's not well-used much less a beat up old pipe.
Style is wrong for the period.

The third pic shows a horribly aligned stem/shank, something Sav is better at. I'm thinking it's a cheap pipe they have 28 of on set. More likely "lorenzo" or something like that.

I bet they had a team of people worrying about the wardrobe and another for the furniture, but when it came to the pipe, meh, they found a bent pipe and said okay. Sad because they could have found an actual pipe from the period, not even a reproduction. Some of the Peterson shapes would have come closer than this, and they could have bought a supply in case of loss or damage. Oh well. No one asked Forums. Kevin could have been put on contract.

It's a great series, but I'm still miffed they traded his pipe smoking for nicotine patches. At least they made a gesture to give him his pipe back for this special episode. They should have maybe paid a consultant a few bucks to not totally screw it up. I guess no one cares but us, though, in the big picture

So then I went and talked with the Lorenzo people since they were at IPCPR as well - also not one of theirs. Running theory is that its Lorenzetti.

Do all of Sherlock's clothes have to look brand new, along with the pipe? He looks like a catalog model. Holmes was a slouchy bachelor. He likely had food stains on his suit, despite his fastidious nature. He looks here like his clothes are stenciled with his name.

For whatever it's worth, I give the prop people on "Sherlock" credit for choosing pipes that more or less match what Conan Doyle described (a briar pipe and a black clay pipe) instead of the calabash pipe which is so often associated with Holmes but is never actually mentioned in the books.
