Hello all!

I recently received a pipe from my late uncle. I have no idea where to even start with regards on how to find out more information on this pipe. I believe it is meerschaum and there is capital G makers mark. I can’t find any more information on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please see photos for reference.

The makers mark looks like a calabash pipe, rather than a G.
If it indeed a ‘G’ then perhaps it stands for ‘Gawd Almighty!’
Apologies, but that’s one of the ugliest pipes I’ve seen.

According to the Pipedia article submitted by @snagstangl, Golden Horn exported pipes carved by various people including Ismet Bekler, one of the most celebrated Turkish meerschaum carvers, who passed away in 2018. If this was one of his carvings and his name appears on the pipe, his estate pipes tend to sell on ebay in the $100 to $200 range.
