I recently aquired an estate pipe that only says "Italian Made" with "Italian Briar" below that. These are the only markings visible. It is a smaller pipe. 20200211_015258.jpg

There’s all sorts of basket pipes like this. No telling but if it’s a good smoker... smoke away!

It could have been made by a brand name maker but that large fill near the bottom would have rendered it as a 2nd.
If that's the case here, then look at charts of known Italian makers pipes for the same shape. [It looks pre-60s to me]

Or, it could have gone to a tobacconist as part of a commissioned lot of basket pipes.

Either way, all that matters is if it's a good smoker.

I like the shape. It should look rather good with a good clean then a polish with carnauba wax.
