I think we should try to use this post for all -PIPE IDENTIFICATION HELP- so a person doesn’t have to start a new thread for a specific pipe Each time. the title “pipe identification“ would Be a good thread for that, in my opinion.

IMG_3290.jpegIMG_3291.jpegIMG_3292.jpegGot this while on vacation in Santiago chile at a gift shop that happened to have some used tobacco pipes. After getting it back to the states and cleaning it up a bit, I noticed the grain is quite exceptional! Strait grains all around the lower half and Birds Eye around the top of the bowl. The only markings are “perfecto“ and “old briar” I have never bin able to identify the maker of this pipe. Ever see one like this? the stamp is very unique and the pipe is very well made.

That's lovely. I know Hardcastle made a 'Perfecto' range of pipes but I've never seen the name inside a cartouche, like yours, before. If it *is* a Hardcastle I'd also expect to see a letter H, with concave uprights, on the stem.

Same! this Is the only fancy “perfecto“ stamp I have ever seen. Maybe a limited or special make? could be a very small company or custom pipe not related to any common name brand.

That pipe has some nice grain to it! Are you going to restore it any further? do you plan on keeping the stinger intact? I like that it has a gripping ring to tighten it down.
Most likely restore and put on eBay. It’ll need some TLC and retort (my system I built)
