That's one sweet looking cabinet! Great score. I'm an antique buff and love the old stuff. I wonder what the middle top section is for?(between the drawers?) Possibly a humidor(glass jar?)? Interesting with that cut-away section. Any makers marks or labels on it?

JEA Pat Lever & REG is on the drawer locks but other than that no markings. Yes the curved out area is for a jar. They had one displayed with it but they wanted a extra 30bucks for it and I am not even sure it was meant for tobacco cause it didn't have any kind of seal so I didn't get it.

Nice piece Texan! Yeah I'd find a jar to put in the cutout too. If nothing else just to complete the look. A decorative clay or glass bowl or crock to hold a big wad of pipecleaners would also work good in the cutout.

Very nice cabinet indeed. Showed it to my wife, and she liked it (even though she ins't at all into my pipe smoking). She even said it would be okay for me to buy something similar. Yeaappy!! :)
