I took a break (not from puffing! LOL) for chores, dinner, etc. This Dunhill birth year (yeah, 1958...I'm 65) I'm interested in buying, especially after my fears were calmed here (thnx folks 
)--has skyrocketed since I posted this. More than doubled. I sure hope I'm not in a bidding war with any of you Friends. Somehow I would find that kind of sad or disappointing to me to bid against a Friend here.

p.s. So, since it just feels kinda weird that this pipe doubled in hours the 1st day on the block, close to $300 now, after this thread got going. Please PM me if your bidding too and I'll drop out and steer clear of this birth year Dunny I was aiming toward, and you can save yourself a buck. I will have a sour taste if I'm in a bidding war against a Friend from this forum and you could lose out 'cause of me (and my "wanter"-- that old lust of the eye!). In fact, thinking about this made clear to me for the first time the wisdom of Kevin(?) and moderators(?) in requiring set prices for pipes and tobacco (no bidding "wars") -- keeps things friendly! Thank You!

As you're finding out the eBay market for Dunhills is to say the least, somewhat chaotic. Nice specimens like the one you're after can get real pricey real quick.I took a break (not from puffing! If you are bidding against someone here, than so be it. We find ourselves competing for the same pipes ALL the time you can see evidence of it in the Completed eBay auction threads. No ever gets made if they were the looser. At the end of the day they're just pipes. Some of us will PM others we might think are bidding on certain pipes to see, or otherwise coordinate bidding so as to not step on someone's toes. But generally just bid how you want and let the pipes fall where they fall. If you spend enough time here you'll automatically know who's bidding on what.
The vast majority of us are not firing on all cylinders, with a few of us being 180d out of time. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Well, I didn't win it but somebody paid a hair over $577 for it (see orig post above for ebay item no.)-George, I'm thinking there's a slight chance you should get a cut of the sales for tour much appreciated knowledgeable post (really!). I knew there was a risk when I brought it up, but I really needed everyone's help and thoughts before being comfortable to proceed. Happy puffing all.

I'm clueless why it doest work. I tried it and I can't get it to work. But I also have an ebay app and it's in my ended items I'm watching--I can see it there. I don't know how you can see it--maybe search under completed-sold items for Dunhill Tanshell LB pipr?
It seems to have been expunged. When I used the advanced search set to sold and/or completed auctions it didn't appear.
Thnx @sagebrush1952 for trying. Ive never run across this on ebay before. Wow! And thnx for your handle-- i was totally ignorant re: brushes & especially sable brushes, double wow! Cool
