What is your favorite pipe to use in a contest and why?

The only contest I have entered was in 1958. I used a Peterson billiard. Don't know why. I came in 8th out of several hundred.

I was in a pancake eating contest back in college days, but no pipes were involved ... this many decades later, I still don't tolerate pancakes very well ...

Slow smoking contest provide your pipe to keep it fair.......

It's a slow smoke contest where you all have a preset amount of tobacco, usually 3.3 grams and 2 matches.

Only some contests provide pipes...mainly the larger ones like the Chicago show..smaller ones let you use your own...tobacco and matches are still provided.

I've always thought the idea of participating in a contest would be fun, but I'd likely be one of the first ones out. I like to think I'm an experienced pipe smoker but I'm no stranger to a relight
