Vauen Blau, White Elephant bristle, Biltz Red and BJ Long standard are those what I have to buy online, since here local newsagents shops nationwide use to keep one brand(Ratos) which is sub standard and 100 pieces thin cotton crap will cost no less than 3,50e($4)

I've always used BJ Long Bristled Churchwarden length, and cut them in half.

I guess that I just assumed that I had the best, since they were so far superior to those complimentary coat-blowing caterpillars that all the online tobacconists send with their shipments.

But I was wholly unaware of these White Elephants which many of you prefer. I'll have to try them next time.

For me, all the Bristle type cleaners I’ve used, Blitz, Brigham, and Vauen, the little bristles start coming off and filling up in the draught holes of every pipe I’ve used them on, not something I want happening.

So I now use the Peterson cleaners because they are soft non-bristle.

I always run cleaners through the pipe during smoking and after, I keep my pipes clean, and occasionally run a cleaner through dipped in like Vodka or Everclear, so I have no need of Bristled cleaners.

I use the BJ Longs, regular ones.

I'm old enough to remember when they came 60 to a bundle, now they're 56.

The ones in the round bundle (56 ea) are sturdier and denser than the ones in the plastic bag (100 ea), in my experience.

I buy them by the box, 48 bundles per box, and always have a box in reserve.

I also get the extra-fluffy ones (32 ea) for my cat, because he loves to play with them and they're softer. I have to hide my regular ones from him.

I get a lot of cheap ones on Amazon. Polykarmatic soft, and recently I got a bag of Lova soft cleaners. They're a small business in FLA, they're good, they get the job done.

I never would've imagined when I started this journey just exactly how fast I would burn up pipe cleaners or how much they could vary from brand to brand. Heck I wasn't really even aware they came in the none colored art project variety. That said It's time once again to order more and considering how awful some of my previous selections turned out. I figure I better ask.
What brand and what seller does everybody recommend? Cause if I end up with more as awful as the ones that came with my last warden I may pull out my hair.
Looking for both standard length and long warden length.
I like the Peterson ones that are tapered. Thick end for the bowl. Skinny end for the PLip (smoke lots of Pete's.

Pipe cleaners cost a fortune here especially as they only come in small packets. Being a stingy sod I asked a female friend of the wife if she ever buys her kids the Chinese multicoloured ones to play with. Couple of weeks later she presented me with a gift of some. As they're very long I cut them in half so I made double the amount.
They work fine, the only negative being you have to be more gentle when pushing them through as they're not as strong. I sometimes dip them in the rum I drink which makes them do an even better job.

It has to be said I'm not fastidious when it comes to pipe cleaning.

Sometimes I wonder if the plastic bristles aren't an improvement because they don't leave lint all over the air channel.

I've been using BJ Long Extra Long Tapered, but find they shed a little too much. I've recently switched to White Elephant—I like the stiffer wire.

Falcon Extra Thin come in handy for removing moisture during a smoke if needed and fit a variety of stem shapes and hole sizes.
