Today I encountered a problem I've never had before - a pipe cleaner got completely stuck in the stem (it's a P-lip, naturally.) I was using a tapered cleaner and inadvertently stuck it in wide side first. When I went to pull it out, it wouldn't budge.
I was afraid to pull too hard, so, holding onto the stem and tenon I twisted and twisted and after about 5 minutes of high anxiety, finally got it out. Whew! It really had me worried there for a bit. I hope I haven't damaged the pipe. When it cools down, I'll remove the stem and give it a good inspection.
Have any of you experienced this before? Any suggestions (other than not putting it in wrong end first - duh!)?
