Hmmm so last night I decided to enjoy a cigar for the first time in a couple weeks I forgot how awful my breath is in the morning =O So I have to ask since my pipe order will be here tomorrow is pipe breath half as bad?

No sir! Pipes don't linger nearly as muh as a cigar! You'll notice it, yes, but its much more mild

My mouth does taste horrid in the morning the day after I smoke, but it is way less than a cigar

I think a lot of this is going to depend on the blend that you smoke. A nice aromatic or a lightly cased Burley blend would not have as pungent an odor as a latakia heavy blend, but I have no scientific evidence to back that up. Usually, the aftertaste of a good pipe tobacco only lingers on my tongue for about a half hour or so and then I fail to notice it anymore.
