Pipe Books

Every summer I try to compile a stack of books that I will read for the summer. I wanted to know if anyone have suggestions for reading material related to pipes and or tobacco.

Start with THE ULTIMATE PIPE BOOK by Richard Carleton Hacker, also THE PIPE BOOK by Alfred Dunhill. Both of these are very good primers.

The book of pipes and tobacco's by Carl ehwa is probably the best I've read, and I owna ton. Another worth reading is Fred Hanna's guormet pipe smoking book if you can find it.

If you ever get the change to get " The GBD St Claude Story " by J.W. Cole,London 1976 - so buy it.He was there and have a lot to tell. My best book about pipes.

Carl Ehwa's "Book of Pipes & Tobacco", actually holds up better than some of Hackerts books, you can find used copies.

Absolutely true, georged. Maya & Liebaert are very well-informed and they cover almost every aspect of pipesmoking in a more than decently edited and illustrated book.
