Thanks Kevin. I definitely don't expect you to be able to control the members offsite. It was just an odd week, I guess. Besides, men are much easier to deal with than women. Normally crudeness from men is just innocent ignorance. Women will say the same things to each other out of spite. I'd rather deal with a guy every time.

I guess I can see where some people wouldn't like the "Pipe Babes" section, always good to hear feedback when it's at least well constructed like Rick's and not just a rant. I think Marty Pulvers made a few statements a while back on this issue, but, hey, Marty seems to enjoy playing the curmudgeon, it's part of his charm!
Personally, I have no problem with this type of thing and I think it's well handled on this site. It's not like it's in your face. You really need to go to specific threads or links to even encounter these images.

It was on the cover page of his website a few weeks back under The Mill. I'm not really sure if there's a way to go back and see his old posts. Honestly, I think it was meant to be another one of his thought provoking old codger rants and certainly not meant to cause any trouble. In essence he commented about a certain pipe website recently posting a picture of an attractive woman with an AK47. He purposefully didn't use any names, as I don't think he was trying to attack anyone directly. I knew exactly what he was talking about once I read it and immediately recalled the interview you are referring to. He stated that he wasn't sure if such images were conducive to the pipe smoking hobby and used examples of advertising of the type used in years past to push cigar sales. Basically, he was offering up the idea as food for thought and discussion. I believe he also mentioned having spoken with Cynthia before, again pretty sure he didn't use any names, and noted that she was a lovely young lady and a delight to talk with. I actually enjoyed reading his take on things, even though I wasn't in total agreement.
