Pipe Abuse?

I came across this photo of Donald Findlay, a well-known senior advocate and Queen's Counsel in Scotland.

He appears to be smoking a Peterson Sherlock Holmes Hansom pipe that has had the rim set on fire repeatedly.

He must take his charring light really seriously... Or do you reckon the pipe came like this?

Could care less. It’s his pipe, he bought it, he enjoys it as he wants. It’s like telling another man his tools are dirty. Why the need to cuddle another’s mans pipe.

Thank God it's not Peterson Sherlock Holmes Hansom. The band is too narrow. It seems to be Peterson Kinsale XL26, possibly.

That guy seems to be swallowing that pipe. Heavy charring is likely from extended use.

He's far sighted or has an astigmatism and can't regularly hit the mark with the match. However he looks quite dapper in his Borsalino hat and contrasting shirt collar. He obviously enjoys his briar. I say, good show.

Yup, I’d say vision problems more than abuse. Meh, he’s enjoying his pipe and tobacco and if that requires using both up then so be it.

I wouldn’t want to do it that way but if I had to then I’d do it unapologetically too!
