Pink Pipe

Here are some pics of the custom painted pipe by Eric Gauthier. This pretty pink pipe is one of the door prizes for the Chattanooga Pipe Show. Thought it would be nice to have something a little more feminine for the ladies that come to the show.

Do you know anything about the painting materials used and whether they affect the smoking qualities of the pipe at all?

I was just thinking the same, what type of paint would stand up to the heat and not bubble or change color.

I've painted my own MM Cob pipes - pinks and reds - and used nail polish. I've smoked them, and never detected a taste, nor has the paint deteriorated in any way.
That it a beautiful pipe, makes me wish I could attend the show and see it in person!

I like the geometrics in addition to the pink background. Some guys could get away with this one, either

as a gender bender, or as defiance in his motorcycle club colors, to show no one dares comment. Or some

codgers could smoke this just to show how definitively they don't give a damn what you think. Forest green

is as colorful as I've gotten so far.
