I am new enough that I will not hold myself to my list but if I suddenly had to choose from what I have tried this is what I would pick
1: Rattrays Red Rapparee

2: McClellands Oriental 14

3: Solani Aged Burley (my guess is this will be replaced soon. I just learned about VA/PER Oriental blends that I clearly need to try)

Estey's Bridge N.B Canada
1- Peter Stokkebye's Proper English

2- Gl Pease Sextant

3- Captain Black Red Sky
These would do me just fine, I'm trying to build up a my cellar with these as the main three.

Rattray's Red Rapparee

Gawith Full Virginia Flake

A few days ago I opened a tin of McConnell Oriental that was lost in a box of books from my first move 12 years ago. If I could get 12 year old Oriental on a consistent basis, there would just be one entry on the list.

2. emp for outside or when I'm alone.
I have several tins unopened but I enjoy these so I haven't bothered :puffy:

An expansive variety of samples, tins, pouches, bags and jars here, but if I wanted to coast on just three for a while I might choose:
Semois Tobac-Manil

Home and Hearth Midtown Chestnut

C&D Billy Budd
What, no Va/Per? I'm a glutton for variety.

Edgeworth Ready Rubbed
If it was winter, I would have another set of choices. Except for the Edgeworth...

Yep. I'm way too new and still sampling. If I picked now, I'm afraid I'd miss something.
But, I see myself eventually settling down to an English, a Dark Fired and a Black Cavendish.

If you had asked this question 2weeks ago I would of said nightcap, royal yacht, irish flake. now I'm giving up fancy brands. back to basics half an half, carter hall, 5 brothers. As soon as I get enough time in trading most of my cellar for codger blends.

My top three hasn't changed in a couple of years;
1. SG St. James Flake

2. SG Full Virginia Flake

3. Peterson Irish Flake

(I haven't had the opportunity to try Rattray's Stirling Flake yet, could capture the #3 slot)

Some great smokes listed by you fellas....very good! I know its hard to choose three, but what the hell put down 5 or 10 if you like...I know some folks have a large rotation.
Booker, Red VA's are a good start :P

Astley's 109 dark flake - a soft flake that is very pleasing to me.
Haddo's delight - one of a kind. I wish it came in flake form.
McConnell glen piper - I can't do without this. Sweet old time cavendish sweetness, a nice va, and a pinch of perique.
Runners up capstan blue, gh rum flake, ft special brown, rattray's marlin, petersons perfect plug, university flake. I guess that is more than three.

Two similar blends: Sam Gawith Full Virginia Flake and G Smith & Sons Old London 100% Virginia. At least that's what it is right now.

McClelland's Matured Virginia #22

Dunhill Early Morning Pipe

Dunhill Nightcap
Takes care of Virginia, Oriental, and English with perique. If I was allowed a fourth it would be GL Pease Haddo's Delight

It's hard to pick just 3 favorite English, 3 favorite VA-Pers, etc. let alone 3 total but here goes:
1. Squadron Leader

2. H&H Blackhouse

3. Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture
