This Falls under the whining category for sure, but I still want to share. I feel the new 5 photo limit to be quite restrictive, in addition there is a photo size limit that I can't figure out - sometimes it's triggered by the file size and sometimes by the resolution. Could someone share what exactly the limitation is set to and maybe bump it up a little bit. It's particularly annoying when it tells me that a regular photo taken from the main camera of an IPhone 16 is too big and I have to go and crop it down.
Last but not least, on almost every post I try to use the batch insert function, at least one photo doesn't show properly and I have to delete all of the photos and insert them one by one.
A simple video upload function would also be a game changer for the forum I think. Maybe just limited to 30 or 60s.

You ought to start your own pipe smoking forum. That way, you can make it just the way you want it.

Me, I’m happy using this forum.
I had to re-crop a pic yesterday too.
I sized it down, posted it, and went about my business.
It truly is that easy.

I know but it becomes an issue if you want to contribute a bit more to the forum. There has been many posts I decided not to share just because of this issue. I can't see what's your issue with improving the forum if possible...

Have you paid your forum dues?

The issue is likely the amount of data that the server will handle and load times.

Pipedia has a size limitation of 1200 pixels for those reasons. I just downsize to work within its limits.
Downsizing is not the issue, I got it right for my edited camera photos and I have an export profile saved for the forum, the phone is a bit annoying though because I think it's just on the limit and some photos are OK and others aren't

Ok so I have the same problem with almost all my pictures I upload from my iphone 16.
Here is the easy/lazy way I do it.
If the photo won’t upload, simply have the photo you want to upload and then take a screen shot of it on your phone. Then upload that picture. Sure it doesn’t look quite as good but it works and I’m lazy/ignorant to know how to re-crop a picture.

Yes that's what I do too, but I just wanted to mention it here, in case it's just a couple of clicks solution for the admin, that could save a bunch of folks some extra steps and unnecessary hacks for su h a basic thing. Not a deal breaker just a suggestion.

Eh I’m not sure there is something can be done. I’m not tech savvy but it’s just the easiest solution I got. I’m not sure why a photo from iPhone is too big, and if people don’t mind the black area above and below the photo I upload because I take a screenshot then eh….. if they do mind… I’m gonna still do it anyways 🤣

Jesus alright, I get it - I wont make any suggestions for improvement...
It comes down to money. More storage, more bandwidth, more money. For what I pay here every month, I have no complaints. If the current limits are abused, I could understand if a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly limit was imposed. Hard drives aren’t free, but this forum is.

My thread wasn't meant to be a complaint in the hopes the guys buy extra hard drives, it was in case it was a troubleshooting issue, bug or as I said previously a couple of clicks solution.
