When I travel I take a Grand Duke, Savinelli 606 and a couple of cobs. Nothing I can't replace.

When I used to fly international with some frequency, I would buy cuban cigars and try to figure out how to bring them back. This was before they softened things a bit.
Anyway, I remember once taking a box of Cohiba's and wrapping in with my dirty underwear and tee shirts. In customs, as they checked our luggage, they opened that suitcase and poked around some but didn't want anything to do with a wad of dirty drawers..... Ha, ha.

Two of the tobaccos are MacBarren Rolls and the last on is Navy Flake. I have been a bit sensitive to nicotine lately and that disappoints me in the I have a lot rope tobacco that I would like to work through. This would have been a perfect time to do that. The churchwarden I not as strange as it might seem. The pipe can and is a conversation piece. A churchwarden can immediately put people at ease and make them curious enough to be friendly - My CAO Meerschaum does that quite nicely as well. I need to order me a 3-4 pipe leather case. I think I will when I get back or perhaps in Florence I will have one made for me.

Love the MB rolls. I am about to try PS Luxury Navy Flake for the first time — been looking forward to it (let my order age a year first). I love churchwardens and agree with idea of breaking the ice with strangers, but the long stem makes them a bit harder to travel with for me. My 4-pipe Martin Wess deer pouch is wonderful, though I am sure you can get something made for you in Italy that would be even better and potentially cheaper. Have a great trip! Can’t wait to smoke a couple pipes and hear all about it when you return.

I break the pipe down and I have a sleeve in my case for the long stem. I'll see you when we return. Lots of anxiety about making sure we have everything.
