Do they ship to the US now? It says they use DHL to ship abroad. I know a lot of ppl around here would love to get some virginia golden flake, including me.

Anyone try it out recently?

They don’t ship to the US. This is an excellent reason to visit Munich.
Otherwise you can have a friend or colleague visit the shop and send you some.
It’s a wonderful blend.

No, unless they’ve recently changed their policy they won’t ship to the US. Unfortunately.

If you look at the bottom of the landing page on Pfeifen Huber's website you'll find Zahlungs- und Versandbedingungen (Payment and Shipping Terms). Click on that link and at the bottom of the page you'll see DHL-Versand Ausland (DHL Shipping Abroad), and under that in bright red letters you'll see:

Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Versand ins Ausland von Tabakwaren und Zigarren aus tabaksteuerrechtlichen Gründen nicht möglich ist!

Which translates as:

Please note that tobacco products and cigars cannot be shipped abroad for reasons related to tobacco tax law!

Which in plain English means "no Virginia Golden Flake for you, #@$%#@$ furriners!" As Jesse says the only way around it is to have a sucker kind friend pick some up at the shop and mule mail it to you.

I only recently got some Virginia Golden Flake because a friend here in Bulgaria went to visit his family that moved to Munich. I’m glad I did because the stuff is fantastic.

I can smell it from here, it’s heavenly isn’t it? When I reviewed it I wrote if this smell was sold as a perfume I’d buy and use it.

Do they stock these bags in the shop?

I'm in Munich in a couple months and plan to pick up a couple/few of the bags. Wondering if I need to call in ahead?

Yes, they’re generally on hand in the shop, but as with everything these days it doesn’t hurt to double-check before you swing by.
