Is there any connection between Peterson's tobaccos and Wellauer's? I've noticed that the names of Wellauer's tobaccos are almost identical to Peterson's (e.g. Irish Oak, Sherlock Holmes).

This is the first time I have seen Wellauer's mentioned here. I went out to Tobacco Reviews. Some of their blends are the same or similar names to old Dunhill blends that are now blended by STG (as are Peterson blends) as Peterson blends.
The first review of Nightcap says that Wellauer used to tinning Dunhill blends for the Middle European market. Wouldn't be surprised, then, if they used to tin Peterson as well.
I smell legal action in the future.
