Peterson System Star (1977) Weird Stamp

Have anyone seen a stamp resembling anything like this one? It kinda looks like the the top of the "P" they use with hot foil on modern Petes

It might be a briar grading stamp. Just a guess. I saw one once with several maltese cross and asked Peterson and they said it was most likely a briar grading stamp but no one currently remembers or has records. Just a guess.

I have Pete’s with Maltese Crosses, Plus Signs, The Chevrolet Bow tie, and a few others.

I even have one carefully scribed March 1943.

Hard to explain what happens.

Speculation Station - to me this looks a bit like the stamps used for the Sherlock Holmes series stem logos for example. Maybe someone got drunk and decided to test out the new stamp on this pipe
