Just from the name, I always thought that Peterson Sunset Breeze would be a pipe tobacco to smoke in the spring or summer. I stand corrected, and you'll know why when you check out Bill's new review for January.
sounds perfectly spot on. Time mellows it a little bit. Which might not seem like much but it's a bity but tasty blend. Even a little time doesn't change the taste much but cuts the bite a lot.
I sent some emails, but I've been out of the game for a few years and haven't had any replies as yet--in all likelihood the folks I had contacts with have moved on. IIRC, the seasonals were special orders with Kolhase & Kopp per Peterson spec, for the most part; and to be honest, from a business perspective, it's unlikely that they were a money maker, so I would guess that they are relegated to fond memories.
