Since there's been talk about PSB from Peterson lately, and I didn't think much of it, here is a non-PSB Peterson SH Strand. Normally I don't post new pipe until the first smoke, but it's been few months since last time I satisfied my PAD.

That’s a sharp looking pipe! Anyone know what the best current resource is for Peterson shape ID and nomenclature? It is pretty confusing, especially when special series like SH use already recognized shapes.

The Peterson Pipe Book from Mark Irwin. Has a shape cross reference chart.

Actually they were created for the SH line. The shape numbers are for pipes that don’t pass SH grading.

Beautiful sandblast. The two Peterson 2018 Christmas sandblasted army mounts I have are a couple of my favorites.

It's hard for me to say no to a Pete with a nice blast.

Very nice looking pipe. Luckily for me, I’m a sucker for a good sandblasted or rusticated finish. A well done finish of this sort reminds me of wood in its natural state, bark and all, and I enjoy it.

I have that same straight apple 2018 Christmas Pete and it’s also one of my favorite pipes, and probably my favorite of my dedicated Virginia pipes. I really like the contrast staining and the copper bands on these pipes as well.

Very nice. I prefer rusticated or sandblast pipes so that pipe is right up my alley.
