If somebody sells a square unfinished block of briar that’s drilled right, count me in… All the fluff and hype doesn’t matter if it doesn’t smoke well.

I'm a Savinelli guy but (insert wolf whistle here):

Looks VERY nice, most Petes’ silverwork does to my eyes, but my last experience with a brand new Pere was one of annoyance due to the gunk they line the chamber with. I sanded it off.

I love these too. I have a 2018 Christmas Pete (87 shape) that’s finished a lot like these (deep red contrast stain and sandblasted), and I love it. It’s the only Pete I’ve kept in my small rotation. Would love to have a Rua in the same shape if they offer it.

I hate this. I hate them because I've been very comfortable with the pipes I have and I really like this a lot and need to get one at some point. Great finish, oh and not a big fan of blasts but these I love. Dang it.
Last thing PAD you go home and leave me alone.

As long as it identifies as a button, you're not allowed to question it. At least, that's my understanding. ?
A Peterson rep actually contacted me over it and offered to replace it. Second time I've been burned by them and told him I wanted to keep it as a reminder to not make the mistake a third time. I'll keep buying pipes from those that know the difference between a button and a bump.

Looking at some good pics of these Petersons and if a dark green and black "Cumberland" looking stem could be fitted it would actually look like the Christmas pipe they should have put out this year, IMO.
