The POTY is a gorgeous pipe. I'm afraid I'm already hooked.

Petes just don't look "Pete" enough without p-lips to me. Am not a clencher. So, it's just an aesthetic thing for me. Only 2 of my Petersons have fishtails and those models were never offered with p-lip. Whenever there is a choice, I always go with the p-lip. As I understand it, that pipe will only be offered with a p-lip.

They're certainly nice, but I wouldn't go that far. You can still find 2017s without too much trouble. I do believe the first delivery of them might go pretty quick. The shape is something that many fans of the old bull moose Petersons are going to be excited about.

They have the weights listed wrong, perhaps a decimal point off. Im not looking for another pipe, but these sure look appealing.

It was about 50 dollars less than what they were showing on Laudisi.com prior to release. I was actually thinking I wouldn't be able to get one until later, but I had enough extra set back, so it worked out :D

Congrats Anthony. If I wasn't very lucky to already own an old John Bull I'd bought off a member at another pipe forum years ago, this would be a very tempting pipe for me. While I do like the look of the current 999, I always thought it wasn't big and beefy enough for me to consider seriously. With the new Peterson rustication, I love the rusticated finish of the 2019 POTY. I really think they ought to permanently replace the 999 with this.

Agreed. And give the current 999 it's old number back, 998. I mean, what was the point in the number change to begin with? That's akin, for example, to getting rid of the 106 and then calling the 105 a 106. I see no point.

Snagged a 999 blast. And I can hardly wait to fire that baby up. It is my first POTY from Peterson and first John Bull Rodi.

They look really nice but all are around fifty-six + grams in weight. Dang. All of my Petes are between 20 and 44 grams. Very nice for POTY.
