The Peterson P-lip. Ugly, horrid and uncomfortable in the mouth. Almost as nasty as their dip-staining and poor airway drillings.
Before any panties get bunched up, I must admit I love my older estate Petes (Deluxes and Spigots) with fishtail stems which were made when they cared about quality. I have 5 Peteys that are my daily workhorses and one older Boswell. Can I say "Peteys" here?
Im not much of a baccy plug fan...with one exception, a rare UK? blend,"Warrior Plug." Can I say "baccy" here? :)

Pauli - Hope I didn't come across as rude for not responding to your post, but I had already logged off and was on the way to my "scratcher" (bed).
It seems that SE England is getting most of the bad weather, which is why there is the usual media hysteria. But it is chilly here in Jockland, with a nasty east wind.
My dad was also a merchant seaman, serving as an engineer on Cunard White Star's "Georgic". The Georgic had an interesting history (see link below, if interested), starting out as a super-luxury, small ocean liner before being taken into the service as a troopship in WW2. She was badly bombed in the Gulf of Suez, but refitted in Bombay. Never the same again again, she was nicknamed "The Iron Lung", but served after the war, shipping "assisted passage" immigrants ("Ten Pound Poms"!) to Australia. Dad was lucky to visit New York, Cape Town, Bombay, Sydney and Melbourne. I have paintings of the Georgic in its original pomp and in wartime grey, both treasured.

I'm afraid I did the Hawky thing with my p-lipped Peterson pipes though I did mine with a cutting disc in the Dremel!
As I don't put the actual button in my mouth (something unique according to this forum) there was no way I could smoke them as they were.
Regards the weather, it's very chilly here in West Cornwall but no snow at the moment. What makes me laugh is how this country almost grinds to a standstill when we get a mere 5 - 10 cm fall of snow.....quite laughable really
Regards,
Jay.

Sounds like you do what I do when I drift away in my mind, Jay. My top lip blocks the hole on the P-Lip. Most of the time I'm clenching though.
As for weather, well, I'm in South Wales and I'm about to go and walk the dog down the river so I'll find out what it's like out there then. It was snowing a while ago but it was not heavy enough to settle. It seems quite bright and sunny out there at the moment.
