Peterson Connosseur's Choice and Peterson Hyde Park are two of my favorite aros.
MacBaren Mixture Scotish Blend and Plumcake are usually on my rotation.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
J
The Peterson's Connoisseur's Choice is also a favorite of mine, together with their Nutty Cut and Irish Oak
As for the MacBaren, their Vintage Syrian is tops!
Peterson: University Flake, Irish Flake and Perfect Plug (if you don't mind a little work before smoking)
MacBaren: Navy Flake, Old Dark Fired, Bold Kentucky
MacBaren's HH Old Dark Fired flake has become a part of my rotation lately. The whole HH series seems to have played down casings and doesn't have flavorings and really gives dark fired tobacco it's place in the sun. What it lacks in complexity it makes up in strength and subtlety, if you can imagine that.
It's a smart move by them.
That, and semi-aros like The Virginia Cream(tm) are interesting developments in the world of pipe-smoking.
Then again, what is old is new again.... Prince Albert strikes me as a semi-aro.
