For me, at least, Irish Oak is a nicotine bomb. Really, too much of a good thing. Something about the particular chemistry of that blend simply kicks my butt.
I really didn't notice much of a nicotine rush from it, but I came from smoking a lot of cigarettes a day. Definately has more than the stuff I was smoking before. So I suppose I've been used to a lot of nicotine. Or maybe it's just me?
I just opened some Irish flake and nightcap. Irish flake is little more mild than st James flake. Nightcap is awesome in the flavor and aroma dept. You will like it. As you gain more experience with smoking more premium pipe blends you will forget about the cherry bomb and wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
