At one time I really wanted the Sherlock Holmes and Antique collection when I had a squire and a 1910. Then I got away from Peterson pipes. One day I might get back into them.

I define "Peterson Collections" a little differently. Instead of a range I pick a shape and then assemble a set in all the different finishes available. Here's the set I'm working on. One more to go, probably a rusticated Sherlock Holmes.

I think The Original from the Sherlock Holmes collection is my favorite.

That's a fantastic collection of XL 21's. I think I've seen some of them individually, but all together they're more than the sum of their parts.
By the way, how's the drilling/airflow on the Kapp Royal?

Pitchfork, they're right on. In the better grades Petersons seems to pay a bit more attention to the details. It smokes wonderfully. The original objective was to have two sets and combine them into one. Three in the Army Mount style and three in the standard bit with a spigot for Sundays. I think Peterson makes some of the best factory bulldogs on the market today. I have a dozen (total) in 999, Xl 80, and the XL 21 shapes and no quality problems with any of them.
