The Peterson Christmas 2025 release is now available to all those in the EDT.

Certainly agree with switching to the pebble finish. Not that I'm in the market for a pipe as I've more than enough. Didn't I tell myself that a few pipe purchases ago?Easy for me to criticize, not being any sort of pipe maker, but to say the least- this release was underwhelming at best. I realize a huge amount of work goes into these releases so I do not mean to take away from artisans following orders but I am still disappointed to see the basic nature of this release. One member of Peterson Pipes Notes pointed out that it was curious the new “pebble” finish was not utilized, if nothing else. Peterson has had such amazing Christmas releases in the past, I understand it is difficult to constantly improve but I still wish more innovation was evident in this year’s edition. That being said, sure makes it very easy not to click “add to cart” button. Maybe next year.
I agree. Very underwhelmed. This is what I mean about the rustication/finish looking rough. Look at these two 120's from SmokingPipes. Besides the big black spots on them, the finish itself looks like it has little pits (bubbles?) all over it. There are some that are much better, but you definitely want to get this one from a site where you can see photos of what you're buying.

I wonder, too, if these were a way to recycle the stuff that didn’t make snuff for a cobble. Peterson is aware we love the copper bands, so it seems an easy way to offload them.I thought these were underwhelming when I first saw them; now I've seen the issues with the finish in doubly sure I won't be getting one!
Are Peterson using up their stocks of this rustication so they can replace it with the cobble finish?
