So to start off, I’m looking for a system standard Peterson to be my daily driver, so to say. I want a system standard for the versatility, and either rusticated or sandblasted, haven’t decided yet. Thinking the B42 Darwin shape, it’s an attractive shape to me. I have Deluxe System pipes, in the 5s and Pub designs and like them a lot, especially the Pub pipe, just seems like a pipe not for all occasions. I clench a decent bit, so the weight is a small concern but I also smoke Savinelli 320s often so like I said, it’s a small concern. So I figured I’d reach out here to see if the B42 would be a great choice or I should look for another like 303 or 317. Thanks in advance. 💨

B42 makes great clenches and truck pipes. I own 15 of them in all kinds of finishes and they just keep rolling.

At first the weight is just odd because they are a tad heavier than a lightweight pipe, but they hang well.

Also, a 303 and 317 are smaller and lighter, but a B42 has a larger bowl diameter

I find my B42 system smooth spigot a bit too heavy to clench. It’s a pretty large chunk of briar.
