Question; Is this a real Peterson pipe?

It sounds like BPL is the name on it, but they are possibly trying to push a higher price by saying it is a Peterson made company. I have never herd of BPL, and I looked it up on pipephil.eu and found nothing under Peterson seconds or by itself.

I believe Surfmac is right. I think the seller just stuck the Peterson tag on the pipe to help it sell?! Although I did find this other ebay listing claiming to have a Peterson B.P.L. and that link is HERE.
I would just ask the seller why he believes it to be a Peterson pipe.

I sometimes think that if it says Made in Ireland people automatically assume its a Peterson made pipe.

Received an Email from the seller stating he is not sure if this pipe is a true Peterson and if I was uncomfortable with that he said not to bid on it.
Question: Should this seller promote the name Peterson if he is not certain it is a true Peterson? And, what should I do to protect other Pipers from false claims?

Please look on E bay at item #360330647279 and advise what you would do.

If they knowingly sold a pipe that was not what it was advertised as, you can "flag" them or report them. The sellers absolutely HATE getting poor reviews. I know I would be absolutley on tilt if, as a new person to pipes, I bought one and it wasn't what I thought I was purchasing.

Final note on this subject.
I filed a complaint with E bay.
Hope I did the right thing cause I do not enjoy hurting people but I feel extremely uneasy with this seller.
