Fighting to get one of these left little (actually zero) time to evaluate; and one must rely on the judgement of the creators to produce a fine product...
Lost out on #13, thought I snagged #15, but per my order it looks like #14...
Not sure about the apparent blemish on the side of the 2nd picture but we'll see...
Also snagged a terracotta from another site that doesn't show individual pipes, so I hope that ones nice...

That's a solid Rua. I'd be very happy with that

I just can't abide a P-lip. For some reason it seems an abomination to me.
I've never heard you mention that before - I thought you loved p-lips!

My two arrived today. I LOVE THEM! But it's obvious that quality control is still an issue - one arrived with the 2024 POTY special 'Chat with the Smoker', while the other had the cheaper standard version. The Rua had tannish gunk in the stem opening, but I always clean the internals of these new stems - you never know what will be in them. I also clean out the chamber coating, but that's just personal preference.

Love the Rua's ring grain - Peterson has been good about consistently using great briar for the Ruas. Surprised that I like the ebony finish - I've owned matt black pipes before and didn't like the finish; however, Mark I has posted a few blogs recently about the ebony finish, and how its done...so I had to give it a shot.

The oddest thing was the difference in stem lengths, which clearly was not due to the bend. I don't mind, but it's odd.

I"ve got a heritage coming from @MBSD Pipes. I have an shipping label for the silver cap but waiting on some more info before it goes away. Hopefully SP won't re-list it without confiming if it's a crack or just stain gone bad. anyway here's the heritage inbound, number 187

Great choice! I love this year's POY. G Penzo has been on a roll recently with his designs.
