Proper English is very good stuff for the money. Luckily the B&M stocks it. I get an ounce or two every once and again for variety since I am sort of addicted to its' cousin Balkan Supreme .....

From what I heard, Brian Levine was the blender responsible for the Proper English blend when he was working for Stokkebye. It's an excellent mixture for sure as is Balkan Supreme which is my favorite.

I recently purchased some PS Proper English from 4Noggins and am very impressed. I had read various posts about how good the PS blends could be but just didn't give them a try as I was stocking up on tins of other tobaccos. Big mistake! My order included Proper English which I quite enjoyed and PS Luxury Bulls Eye Flake which I am smoking right at the moment and enjoying immensely. I think that more of these blends and others from PS are going to be seeing some time in my cellar and fairly quickly!

I have no idea, but I do know that PS Proper English - alongside the many blends from Heart & Home - is one of the best quality value smokes available.
FWIW, IRC charges 6.60 for 2 oz. and Marscigars runs 5.95 for the same weight - so they're relatively comparable. Maybe they are the same beast.

I find Proper English to be very similar to H & H's Black House. Not sure which one I like better.

I recently commented on the "Morning Smokes" thread that this is one of my go to blends. It provides good flavor and isn't overbearing. I like Proper English, Balkan Supreme, and the Luxury Flakes they make. Good tobacco for a great price.

I picked up an ounce of Proper English from my B&M some time ago. I've smoked and mostly enjoyed a couple bowls of it. The only thing I have against it is that the smoke dries out my mouth more than any other tobacco I've tried.

Peter Stokkebyes blends are so good, and moderately priced. Proper English sounds right up my avenue.

I'm on a burley bender now -- Semois in the bowl, four or five C&D burley blends at the ready, but next

time I need a hearty English, I'll have Proper on the list. His Luxury Navy Flake, that great Va/Per, is in the

jar up front. Great smoke.

Proper English is one of my mainstay smokes. I buy it in 5lb bulk. I typically smoke it in the afternoons while I work, alternating between it and Luxury Bullseye or Navy Flakes. All are inexpensive, but delicious.

I smoke Proper English and Optimum as well. Proper English is Quite enjoyable. I have 1 1/2 lbs in canning jars in storage. My intnet is to get my stock up to 5Lbs. Great stuff, and I never want to be without it.

Stokkebye tobaccos occupy a unique niche, inexpensive, like other less desirable bulks, but they are also quality tobacco. I've never read anyone complain about quality, but I've heard many laud their more affordable price.

I like my other PS bull tobaccos but this one did not do it for me. Too bad, I think I bought too much of it and it's just taking up space. I found that this blend tasted like burnt tires. Maybe I will try it again in a month. My initial reaction was: ewwww!
