I have seen some of the reviews on tobaccoreviews, and a few other spots and have a generalized bit of questions..

1. dear jiminks mentioned some burley blends seem to have deer tongue, and maybe mint in them.

Is that actually true, because I would like to avoid the deer tongue and mint. Allergies to mint.

2. How does on categorize the levels of latakia, "turkish" and "oriental" leaf in their blends. Cornell and Diehl do a non extistent job at that. And most companies use those terms for the same thing..

I can tolerate presbyterian with a filter, i can get davidoff english mixture to be decent and "sweet" if filtered. But something like constellation is a no go. That dead skunk burnt on a pile of car tires and old plastic bed pans is a no go.

I don’t know what it is but there is *something* in some of the LJP burleys I have tried. They were all good but did throw me off at first. Not sure it was deer tongue but felt it to be floral in nature. I’m sure if you called them they could help.

For what it's worth, burley can naturally be floral without adding deertongue or oriental... look at C&D's Eight State Burley for instance (which I have found to be a tea-like and lavender type of floral taste). Burley isn't a one trick "nutty" pony the way it's often painted.

Having said that, yes Peretti burley is often at least cased in something that does accentuate those tea-like floral essences that some burley can have. Whether deertongue or mint is added, I can't say.

I've already sent an email. Have not received anything back in 4 business days
Patience with email, not everyone checks their email 900 times per day, and emails can get backed up very quickly, especially for a business that has more important emails to deal with, or a email could be seen but the time to address it isn't at hand at that moment and the intention is to reply later, but then later comes and the email is forgotten.

I've seen people go mental over not getting emailed back the same-day (or even within hours) and calling it bad business.

If you want instant communication, a phone call is the way to go.

No idea why everyone is so intent on email communication over a phone call that could take 5 minutes, especially with a small business that doesn't have a dedicated customer service/relations department.
