Escudo is my favourite; I have had my best smoking experiences with that blend.
With that said, there are plenty more out there...

I already have TAD. I have recently discovered that I love VaPers. Reading this thread has been dangerous to the pocketbook!
Seriously, I am looking to expand my exploration of VaPers, and now I've got a shopping cart going on over at smokingpipes.com...... yeesh. This PAD and TAD are gonna be the death of me yet! :P But what a way to go, eh?

Question---anyone know the difference between PS-LBF and Davidoff- Flake Medallions??
Davidoff Flake Medallions: Flake cut of the finest Virginia and Perique tobaccos, with a core of Black Cavendish.
Stokkebye LBF: A blend of ripe Virginia tobaccos spiced with pure Louisiana Perique. The center of Black Cavendish smooths out the taste. The outer blend is pressed into thin layers before being tightly spun around a stick of pressed Black Cavendish. The result is a massive ‘cigar’ which is cut into ‘medallions’ and packed.
Thanks for any help. I'm especially interested if anyone has smoked both and compared them.....

I found an online etailer that has the PS-LBF in stock. As they are not a site sponsor, I won't post it publicly. But I'm excited, and I'm also getting some of the Davidoff Flake Medallions to do a side-by-side comparison.
YAY!! :puffy:

I think I found the same site and I have the PS-LBF on order. I have high hopes, but I was smoking the Davidoff Flake Medallions tonight and it's going to be tough to match.

Ordered:

McClelland- Personal Reserve Series (Black Label) St. James Woods, 50 grams
Peter Stokkebye- Luxury Bulls Eye Flake, 8 oz
Davidoff- Flake Medallions, 50 gram tin
MacBaren- HH Acadian Perique, 100 gram tin
I was hesitant at getting 8 oz of LBF rather than just 2, since I might like one of these other even better, but since a lot of places are out of the LBF and a lot of people like it, I figure I can always trade it. And since I do like it, it wasn't as risky as ordering 8 oz of something I've never tried.
I also asked for suggestions for perique blends that do not contain latakia (don't care for the lat, but love the perique!)
You guys are dangerous to my pocketbook! :D

Decided to post a review of the MacBaren HH Acadian over in the Tobacco Reviews section.
This is some seriously good stuff! Glad I added it to my stash! It's a great intro into Perique, since the perique doesn't smack you in the face, IMHO.

One of my favorite Perique blends not being mentioned here is Solani 633. I have recently gone through 2 tins and am opening a third today. I cannot stop smoking this stuff. It has real nice perique strength, but with a sweet backbone to it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great vaper.

Hey @thesmokindragon
@Whimsyt- Night/Day are LBF to DFMs (which is one of my favs)
I can only translate about half of this comment.... are you saying that at night you prefer LBF and DFM for daytime smokes? Or are you saying that you think there is a difference of night and day between these two?
Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the explanation.
I guess my palate isn't refined enough yet. When I smoked them side by side at the same time in identical pipes (Falcon), they tasted exactly the same to me. I also know Davidoff doesn't make its own blends. But thanks for the info.
