Perique processing of latakia processed leaf. Or latakia processing of perique processed leaf. Probably be terrible. Could be the next big thing.

D&R Rimboche AB had “periqued” dark fired Kentucky but I’ve never thought about using Latakia. It would be interesting, that’s for sure!

Since fire curing requires the leaf to be raw to take the smoke and cure along at the same time, that eliminates that. Also, the leaf is cured along with the proce3ss as well, so... maybe if it is pressed and fermented while being smoked?

Not sure how you'd introduce smoke to an aenerobic fermentation process under pressure.
