No one would know we had these laws, ha ha. They must have passed them in secret. We still have restaurants with smoking sections and ashtrays on the table and matches with business logos on them.
However, I don’t intentionally smoke around unsuspecting bystanders, but on many occasions I have caught myself deep inside stores with my pipe in chock by accident. Our favorite restaurants will let me smoke in their outside seating. And, hospitals will let me smoke while leaning on their doors

Never in my life has anyone given me a second look while smoking.

Do you guys just follow laws like sheep? Hell, we have so many laws still on the books from slavery and Jim Crow that I probably break the law a dozen times a day. I definitely don’t feel any boots of oppression on my neck, ever.

I just chose not to be an asshole and intentionally smoke inside around folks that might not want to breathe my smoke.

Law in Alabama can be compared to the Soviet Union before it's collapse. We have so many unenforced laws that we would all be incarcerated if they were enforced.

Smoking is banned in most places but pipes and cigars are never considered as those are hobbys of the cultured individual.
