Good afternoon,

Let me apologize in advance if this is not the correct way to go about this. I've been a pipe smoker for a few years now and have really started enjoying Ferndown pipes. I was hoping to speak with Mr. Wood to (i) express my appreciation for his work and (ii) inquire as to the possibility of requesting a specifc pipe.
I haven't had any luck tracking down an email or phone number and wondered if he actually is approachable by the "general public"? If he is I would appreciate a bit of help with the appropriate way to contact him ( email, website, phone ).
Thank you again.

As I understand it Les and his wife have retired from making pipes this year, you can read about it at http://www.pipes2smoke.com/Ferndown.htm they may actually be your last best chance to,obtain what you are looking for, best of luck they are great pipes.

fishnbanjo is correct, Les officially retired a few months ago. (and Max @ Pipes2Smoke an excellent vendor!)
Welcome to the forum! We have a pretty decent British pipes section here, with a number of participating Ferndown owners (myself included).

A Forums member gave me ... ! ... a Ferndown, and it is one of my most treasured pipes. One or two Forums members know Les personally, but I'm not sure how open he is to fan mail. He's widely lauded in the pipe community. He may be backing away from a lot of exposure as he settles into retired life.
